That’s right, what would you do if you could play a golf course pretty much anytime, for the rest of your life, for free? Well, that’s the idea behind the Untitled Roseburg Golf Project’s Name Our Course Sweepstakes. If the project ownership team chooses your name suggestion, you could win a Lifetime Pass to the new Dan Hixson-designed golf course just off Interstate 5 in Roseburg, Oregon.
It’s really that simple. Using the form below, submit a golf course name that doesn’t already exist elsewhere in the world, and you’re entered to win. And as an added bonus, the Roseburg Golf Project is also entering all Sweepstakes participants plus anyone who follows the @NameOurCourse social-media accounts on Twitter and Instagram into a drawing for a two-day unlimited golf sneak peek of the 10 holes opening this summer. So read the description and official rules and start thinking about what this golf course should be named. Only one submission is allowed per person, so choose your name carefully.
THE PROJECT
The latest creation from golf-course designer Dan Hixson (Silvies Valley Ranch, Wine Valley, Bandon Crossings) is currently under construction and grow-in on a mined-out sand-and-gravel operation alongside the South Umpqua River in Roseburg, Oregon – just off Interstate 5 not far from where most people turn off to head west toward Bandon and the coast. With 10 holes opening in Summer 2021, Hixson has built a highly walkable routing that rolls through the property dotted by large ponds left over from mining excavation. Because it is the site of a longtime gravel mine, the project has a decidedly industrial yet family-owned feel (like the mine itself). The remaining eight holes are expected to open in Summer 2022. The golf course is planned as the centerpiece of a larger boutique resort that will offer tiny-house accommodations and host travelers with recreational vehicles. NO PURCHASE REQUIRED TO ENTER OR WIN
Introduction: During the period beginning at 12:00 a.m. Pacific Standard Time (“PST”), February 19, 2021 and ending at 11:59 p.m. PST, March 1, 2021 (the “Promotion Period”) The Untitled Roseburg Golf Project will offer “The Name Our Course Sweepstakes” (referred to as a “Sweepstakes” or “Contest”). These Official Rules and the individual Sweepstakes information section constitute the full Official Rules for the program and are subject to these Terms and Conditions. The Administrator’s computer is the official time-keeping device for each The Giveaway.
Prizes: There is one (1) guaranteed prize for this Sweepstakes: One winner and three additional golfers of his or her choice will be hosted by the Untitled Roseburg Golf Project to play two days of unlimited golf during the golf course preview period or during the opening month of play, depending on scheduling and limitations.
In addition, a Grand Prize of a Lifetime Pass for one (1) golfer to play the Untitled Roseburg Golf Project for free may be awarded if ownership selects a Golf Course Name Suggestion Entry for use in the golf project’s branding efforts. If more than one entry includes the same Name Suggestion, and that entry is chosen by ownership, the entry with the earlier time stamp will be awarded the Grand Prize.
Lifetime Pass Details: If awarded, the Lifetime Pass will be available for use by only the Grand Prize winner and will be non-transferable. The Lifetime Pass will cover complimentary green fees (cart not included) for any standard round of golf booked based on availability All standard booking limitations of the golf course will apply (and are subject to change), and some blackout dates may exist depending on tournaments, events and other special events.

To enter for a chance to win both the Preview Play Foursome and the Lifetime Pass, you must fill out the form on this webpage completely and submit ONE proposed Golf Course Name for the project. Only ONE entry will be accepted per person, and attempt to circumvent the process by using additional e-mails will result in all entries being disqualified.

Notifications: Winners will be notified no later than March 30, 2021 by e-mail, phone or social-media account (all are required for Grand Prize entry).
Eligibility: The Name Our Course Sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of one of the 50 United States (or the District of Columbia) who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees and non-employee workers of Umpqua Sand & Gravel, and their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates and agents, and those prize providers and agencies that are involved in the development or execution of the applicable individual Name Our Course Sweepstakes or any of its materials, as well as the immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings, and children) and household members of each such ineligible person are not eligible. The Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited by law.
Social-Media Entries: In accordance with terms and conditions of both Twitter and Instagram, any attempt to multiply entries by creating additional social-media accounts on either platform will result in disqualification of all account and entries.
Estimated Odds of Winning: Dependant on the number of entires.
Sponsor: The Giveaway is sponsored by the Company that provides the prize for the sweepstakes.
Administrator: The winner of the Preview Play Foursome will be drawn randomly.
Agreement to Official Rules: By participating in The Sweepstakes, each entrant fully and unconditionally agrees to and accepts these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor and Administrator, which are final and binding in all matters related to the Sweepstakes.
Publicity: Except where prohibited, participation in any of the Sweepstakes constitutes entrant’s consent for the Sponsor, applicable prize providers and their respective designees to use entrant’s first and last name, likeness, prize information, city and state of residence, and any comments, testimonials or other feedback related to any prize or entrant’s Sweepstakes experience, whether written or oral, for promotional purposes in any media without further consideration.
General Conditions: In the event that the operation, security, or administration of the Giveaway is impaired in any way for any reason, including, but, not limited to, fraud, human error, virus or other technical problems, the Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, either: (a) modify The Giveaway in a manner that best conforms to the spirit of these Official Rules without suspending it; (b) suspend The Giveaway to address the impairment and then resume The Giveaway in a manner that best conforms to the spirit of these Official Rules; or (c) cancel The Giveaway and award the prizes in a random drawing from among all eligible entries received up to the time of the impairment. The Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of The Giveaway or to be acting in violation of the Official Rules of this or any other promotion, or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, from participation in The Giveaway or any other promotions sponsored by the Company. Any attempt by any person to undermine the legitimate operation of any part of The Giveaway may be a violation of criminal and civil law, and, should such an attempt be made, the Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. Release and Limitations of Liability: Except where prohibited, by participating in The Sweepstakes, each entrant agrees to release and hold harmless Umpqua Sand & Gravel, their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, promotional partners, prize partners, providers and their respective agents and agencies, officers, directors, and employees (the “Released Parties”) from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the Sweepstakes or receipt, use or misuse of any prize, including, but not limited to: (a) unauthorized human intervention in the Sweepstakes; (b) technical errors related to computers, servers, providers, or telephone, cellular, or network lines; (c) printing errors; (d) errors in the administration of any Sweepstakes or the processing of entries; (e) late, lost, or undeliverable mail or email; or (f) injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant’s participation in the Sweepstakes or receipt, use or misuse of any prize. Entrant further agrees that in any cause of action, the Released Parties’ liability will be limited to the cost of entering and participating in The Giveaway and in no event shall the Released Parties be liable for attorney’s fees. Entrant waives the right to claim any damages whatsoever, including, but not limited to, punitive, consequential, direct, or indirect damages (other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses) and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased. If for any reason an entrant’s entry is confirmed to have been erroneously deleted, lost, or otherwise destroyed or corrupted, entrant’s sole remedy is another entry in The Giveaway, if it is possible. If the Giveaway has been discontinued for any reason, Sponsor, in its discretion, may elect to hold a random drawing from among all eligible entries received up to the date of discontinuance for any or all of the prizes offered herein. No more than the stated number of prizes for any individual sweepstakes will be awarded. In the event that production, technical, seeding, programming or any other reasons cause more than stated number of prizes as set forth in any individual Sweepstakes to be claimed, Sponsor reserves the right to award only the stated number of prizes by a random drawing among all legitimate, un-awarded, eligible prize claims.
Disputes: The laws of the State of Oregon will govern the interpretation, validity and effect of this Agreement without regard to principles of conflicts of law, the place of execution or the place for performance thereof.
CASH VALUE: All prizes carry no cash value. If you cannot receive or redeem the prize for any reason, you will not be compensated in any other way.
IMAGES: If any images, photo or video, are taken during redemption of the Sweepstakes Prize, the Company has all rights to use that photo(s) and video(s) in any promotion in the future. The Company also reserves the right to use the Sweepstakes Prize winner’s (and accompanying golf travelers) likeness and Twitter identity in any promotional materials.
PRIZE CHANGE: If at any time the specific of a prize change, the Company cannot be held liable for that change. If there is a text error in the promotions for any prize, the Company cannot be held liable for that change.
