Donald Trump's name and likeness have been removed from billboards and imagery promoting a forthcoming golf course his company will manage in the United Arab Emirates.

Damac Properties has pulled any sign of the Republican presidential frontrunner near its Akoya by Damac project. Trump is set to co-own manage Trump International Golf Club Dubai, a Gil Hanse-designed course, in the luxury development. Previously, a billboard outside the development had showed an image of Trump wearing his customary red baseball hat while swinging a golf club amid a golf course backdrop. Trump's daughter Ivanka was pictured separately, and that has also been removed. Gold lettering of the course name on a stone wall at the entrance to the project site was also taken down, per Reuters.
Trump is also set to manage the Trump World Golf Club, a forthcoming Tiger Woods layout at another Damac development, dubbed Akoya Oxygen, in Dubai.
Earlier in the week, a Damac spokesperson showed support for Trump in light of a proposal the real-estate developer made that called for a "total shutdown" of Muslims entering the United States from abroad.
“We would like to stress that our agreement is with the Trump Organization as one of the premium golf course operators in the world and as such we would not comment further on Mr. Trump’s personal or political agenda, nor comment on the internal American political debate scene,” said Niall McLoughlin, a senior vice president at Damac Properties.
The proposal, if you can call it that, was shunned from all corners of the Republican party, as well by potential Democratic challengers in the general election.
