2019 Bermuda Championship final results: Prize money payout and leaderboard

The 2019 Bermuda Championship final leaderboard is headed by winner Brendon Todd, who picked up an inspiring and remarkable win with a dominating final-round performance at Port Royal Golf Club in Southampton, Bermuda.

Todd shot a final round of 9-under 62, giving him a four-shot win over Harry Higgs with a 72-hole total of 24-under 260 in the first year of this new opposite-field event.

The win is Todd's second in his professional career, and it marks the completion of his climb back in overcoming full-swing yips and seeing the abyss of professional golf in missing an extraordinary number of cuts during a tough period.

Todd won the $540,000 winner's share of the $3,000,000 purse.

Bermuda Championship recap notes

With the win, Todd earns a two-season exemption and is exempt for the remainder of this season on the PGA Tour. Todd earns 300 FedEx Cup points with the victory, which does not necessarily guarantee him a place in the FedEx Cup playoffs next August.

This was the final of five opposite-field events on the PGA Tour during the calendar year. The PGA Tour presents opposite-field events against the four World Golf Championships events and the British Open Championship. The purses range from $3 million to $3.5 million.

Carlos Franco finished 66th on the final leaderboard, but the 54-year-old managed to make the cut in his first PGA Tour start since 2015 at the Puerto Rico Open. The 54-year-old had not made a PGA Tour cut since the 2010 Viking Classic in October of that year.

This was the seventh (or eighth, depending on how you look at it) event of this PGA Tour season. After an off week next week, the remaining events are the Mayakoba Golf Classic and The RSM Classic before breaking until 2020.
