2019 Mayakoba Golf Classic final results: Prize money payout and leaderboard

The 2019 Mayakoba Golf Classic final leaderboard is headed by winner Brendon Todd, who earned a one-shot win with a Monday finish at El Camaleon Golf Club in Playa del Carmen, Mexico.

Todd had to wrap up four holes on Monday, finishing the stretch in even par to post 20-under 264 and beat Carlos Ortiz, Adam Long and Vaughn Taylor for the victory.

This is the second-consecutive PGA Tour win for Todd, who won the opposite-field Bermuda Championship. He now has a three-season exemption on the PGA Tour, as multi-season wins extend exemptions by an extra season.

Todd won the $1,296,000 winner's share of the $7,200,000 purse.

Mayakoba Golf Classic recap notes

This was the next-to-last event of the fall portion of the 2019-2020 PGA Tour schedule. The final event of the season is The RSM Classic, played at Sea Island Golf Resort on St. Simons Island, Ga.

With his second PGA Tour win of the season, Todd earned an invitation to the Masters. Winners of opposite-field events do not earn Masters invites, but Todd does secure one with the full-field win at Mayakoba. He does not earn a spot in the US Open under the multi-win exemption, however, as opposite-field events don't count.

Carlos Ortiz earned a special award as the highest-finishing Mexican-born player.

Todd is the first player to win twice in the fall portion of the schedule since the PGA Tour went to a wraparound schedule for the 2013-2014 season.

The last player to win back-to-back tournaments before Todd was Bryson DeChambeau at the 2018 Northern Trust and 2018 Dell Technologies Championship. The last player to win back-to-back events was Xander Schauffele, who won the 2018 WGC-HSBC Champions and 2019 Sentry Tournament of Champions.
