Bonus bills, questions in Brescia starting from 11 May

For now, there are 3.5 million euros on the table. Money they should go to 14 thousand families residing in the city to “mitigate” the expensive bills. But in the municipal coffers there will still be a small nest egg for the autumn: it could be used for a second tranche of aid to the families most in difficulty; but also to support retirement homes and municipal companies. There Loggia it does not forget businesses and some measures could be put in place to help shops and artisans.

The announcement

What is certain is that on Wednesday 11 May the call for applications will open “Municipal energy bonus”. The call will remain open 45 days and is aimed at all households with a variable rate electricity contract (fixed price contracts are therefore excluded, which have not risen) and with Isee not exceeding 12 thousand euros. The one-off contribution will be 200 euros per family. This figure rises to 300 euros for households with at least one minor. It will be directly deducted from the bill for A2A Energia customers (in more bills if necessary) while a transfer will be made if you have another operator. La Loggia estimates that the families reachable by the bonus are between 14 and 15 thousand. The application must be submitted online by authenticating with Spid (digital identity), Cie (electronic identity card) or Cns (national services card). Then just enter a few data, Isee, Pod number (you can find it on the bill), the energy supplier, if there are minors in the family or not.

«It will be a very simple procedure – he assures the councilor for the budget Fabio Capra -. We will involve patronages, neighborhood councils and community points if someone, for example the elderly, needs assistance ». The result will be communicated via email. And after the 45 days of the announcement (“but if any questions arrive late, accept them anyway” assures Capra) the bonus will be paid. “We are the first municipality to double the state bonus against expensive bills – explains the mayor Emilio Del Bono -. The only ones to field a measure of this size. A possible move for the good health of the municipal budget and of our subsidiaries ». The municipal bonus will not solve all the problems of Brescia families. But together with the state one, it will help “by affecting a good piece of the lower-middle class”. Isee up to 12 thousand euros means, for example, income tax of 36 thousand euros for a family of four with a rented house. “In this way – continues Del Bono – we pay the largest dividends of A2A to the citizens: directly with the bonus, indirectly they do not raise the tariffs for services”, from transport to canteens, which in many other cities are suffering increases. An “investment for the socio-economic stability of our community” says the mayor.

Other resources will remain available in the municipal budget. «We have given a concrete sign of which I am very proud – explains Capra -. We will evaluate how the situation will evolve in the coming months to calibrate any new aid ». Del Bono is also open to businesses. «It is a theme on which we will reflect. Last year we implemented important discounts on the Tari. This year we will evaluate targeted measures ». Soon to say how many and which ones. We will see.
