Sitting in red for the major indexes of the Old Continent. In Piazza Affari the main basket, the FTSEMib, left 1.2% on the ground. Bankers are down. Yesterday, the US stock exchanges closed their worst session of the last 2 years and today they opened down.
The FTSEMib it lost 1.2% to 23,476 points, after having fluctuated between a low of 23,356 points and a high of 23,814 points. The FTSE Italia All Share it closed down 1.2%. Negative trend also for the FTSE Italia Mid Cap (-1.56%) and for the FTSE Italia Star (-2.49%). In the session of 6 May 2022, the turnover rose to 2.56 billion euros, compared to 2.42 billion on Wednesday.
At 17.30 the bitcoin it had dropped to around 36,000 dollars (about 34,000 euros).
The BTP-Bund spread it was confirmed above 200 points.
L’EUR it rose to $ 1.06.
Bankers are generally down. UniCredit left 4.08% on the ground. Intesa Sanpaolo lost 2.32%. The first quarter closed with a net profit of 1.67 billion euros, excluding 0.8 billion euros of value adjustments for Russia and Ukraine, fully in line with the target of over 5 billion for the year in progress. IntesaSanpaolo reported that the formula of the 2022-2025 Business Plan and, in particular, the target of 6.5 billion net profit by 2025 are confirmed.
Sales on Monte dei Paschi di Siena (-5.05%). The bank ended the first quarter of 2022 with a net profit for the period before tax of € 5 million, down compared to March 31, 2021 which had recorded a positive result of € 114 million. The management has indicated that the industrial plan will be approved and subsequently presented to the market on 23 June 2022.
Little move in Piazza Affari Atlantia (-0.22%). As already indicated at the end of March, the group announced that it had completed the closing of the sale of the stake held by Atlantia in Autostrade per l’Italia (equal to 88.06% of the share capital and voting rights) in favor of the Consortium formed by CDP Equity (51%), Blackstone Infrastructure Partners (24.5%) and Macquarie Asset Management (24.5%). The sale of the equity investment took place at a value of just under € 8.2 billion, including the ticking fee and net of other minor price adjustments provided for in the sale agreement.
Up 0.31% Leonardo. The group communicated the financial results for the first quarter of 2022, the period ended with growing revenues and improving profitability. Leonardo ended the first quarter of 2022 with a final results (excluding minority interests) positive for 74 million euros, an improvement compared to the red of 2 million recorded in the first three months of 2021. The company confirmed the financial estimates for 2022drawn up on the occasion of the preparation of the 2021 budget.
