Toyota Hilux AT33: the adventurous pick-up

LIMITED SERIES – The Toyota introduces the pick-up for the first time in Italy Hilux AT33a special limited edition set-up aimed at extreme off-roading developed in collaboration with the Icelandic company Arctic Trucks, specializing in the preparation of vehicles capable of exploring the most inhospitable areas of the planet. Tied hand in hand with Toyota since the 1990s. Arctic Trucks has prepared some Hiluxes that have achieved several records over the course of numerous expeditions. In fact, in 2007 Hilux Arctic Trucks was the first vehicle to reach the Magnetic North Pole, while in 2010 it set the record for reaching the South Pole in the shortest time.

WELL EQUIPPED – The Toyota Hilux AT33 was born on the basis of the Hilux lnvincible Double Cab with a 204 HP 2.8 turbodiesel common-rail engine combined with an automatic transmission. It inherits the typical equipment of high-end cars, such as the multimedia system with satellite navigator, smartphone integration and JBL audio system with 9 speakers, the dual-zone automatic air conditioning, the Panoramic View Monitor with 360 ° view, the parking sensors front and rear and perforated leather interiors.

EVEN MORE OFFROAD – Arctic Trucks’ interventions for the Toyota Hilux AT33 mainly concerned the mechanical part of the vehicle, to enhance its already high off-road capabilities. Specifically, the dedicated set-up with Bilstein shock absorbers, 33-inch All-Terrain BF Goodrich tires with double valves to allow rapid inflation and deflation, aluminum skid plate and oversized front and rear mudguards stand out. The new set-up in particular has further improved the off-road characteristics of the Hilux, increasing its angles of attack (+ 4 °), up to 33 °, exit (+ 2 °), up to 28 °, and the wading depth. (+ 45mm), up to 745 mm, without however compromising stability and driving comfort on the road.

IT GETS RECOGNIZED – Outside the Toyota Hilux AT33 we find instead a strong aesthetic customization, with alloy wheels of 17 inches; black and with specific shape, Arctic Trucks badges on doors and tailgate, side graphics with stylized AT logo on the sides, indications of tire inflation pressure on special badges in the mudguard area and finally AT specific splash guards and side footboards.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST? – Available exclusively with painting in the specific Oxide Bronze color, the new one Toyota Hilux AT33 it is already available from the Toyota Professional dealer network in just 80 numbered copies at the price of 56,350 eurosExcluding VAT and putting on the road, equal to 69,750 euros VAT included. Also this version, which is added to the Active, Comfort, Lounge, Executive and Invincible trim levels, is approved only as a truck (N1) with the consequent restrictions on circulation on holidays, but with all the benefits in terms of ownership tax, deductibility and insurance premiums. Each Hilux AT33 is identified by a personalized plate inside the passenger compartment with the serial number of the model and will be accompanied by an Arctic Trucks certificate of authenticity.
