Maserati GranTurismo, here it is inside: what a beautiful living room

IT WILL ARRIVE IN JUNE, FROM AROUND 150,000 EUROS – Under the “skin” it is all new, with powerful and refined mechanics derived from that of the MC 20 supercar, and, for the first time in the history of the brand, also a 100% electric heart. Of the new one Maserati GranTurismowhich will arrive at dealerships in June 2023 with prices starting at approx 150,000 euroswe knew almost everything: from the technical characteristics (from the engine V6 Neptune to the change of traction, from front to all-wheel drive, up to the Folgore version with no less than 760 HP, powered exclusively by battery), to the style of the exteriors (at once gritty and elegant, it remains firmly anchored to tradition, with volumes and proportions that maintain an evident fil rouge with the previous model).

VERY ELEGANT, IT BECOMES MORE MININAL AND RATIONAL – But the new one Maserati GranTurismo, now, the house of the Trident reveals more details. Opening for the first time, on its social channels, the doors of its luxury 2+2 passenger compartment, finished in every detail with quality materials. Going into the details highlighted by the images, beyond an evident search for luxury, which is essential on a car of this category, it can be seen how the designers have dedicated particular attention to the use of space, trying to design a more comfortable and practical environment for the driver and passengers. By eliminating the gear lever, for example, extra space has been created for storing small objects, such as a smartphone or wallet, in the central tunnel. Between the dashboard and the seats, compared to the previous generation model, are practically all the physical keys disappeared: the on-board services and functions of the MIA multimedia system, which has benefited from an ad hoc update for the new GranTurismo, can all be managed by touching the large display that “enthroned” in the center of the dashboard. The legendary clock set in the upper part of the dashboard, between the “climate” vents, becomes completely digital.

A LITTLE MORE THAN A 2+2 – Fully digital, new Maserati GranTurismois also the instrument panel, the graphics of which change according to the driving mode selected. For the petrol versions, which can also be driven by disconnecting all the electronic aids except the ABS, there are four: Comfort, GT, Sport, Corsa. Positioned full-width behind the rim of the three-spoke, slightly dished and fully leather-wrapped sports steering wheel, the screen appears quite large and clearly visible. Lastly, highly sought-after details can be noted, such as the embossed workmanship that embellishes the coverings of the dashboard and door panels. The seats, both front and rear, are large and very enveloping, where there seems to be all the space needed for even two adults to travel comfortably.
