Bertolazzi Memorial: Germani Brescia prevails over Aquila Trento

At the Matteo Bertolazzi Memorial in Parma it’s a day of finals. The final between Dolomiti Energia Trentino and Germani Brescia takes place with a two-ball at 20:30. The two teams, yesterday, emerged victorious from the semifinal matches respectively with Unahotels Reggio Emilia and Openjobmetis Varese.

Dolomiti Energia Trentino closes its preseason with a defeat in the sprint: in the final of the Bertolazzi Memorial, the bianconeri are beaten by Brescia 77-71, but only after 40 ‘in which they show solidity and personality. In two words, the ingredients that the bianconeri in this pre-season path have always been able to put on the parquet. It was not enough, against a Brescia that in the end made the value of its spearheads and the depth of its roster prevail: the bianconeri raised the white flag only at the last moment, trying to give everything even in a last quarter in which the fatigue of the double encounter in 24 hours seemed to prevail.

The bianconeri, as in the semifinals, in addition to Max Ladurner had to do without Matteo Spagnolo, who stopped on the eve of the tournament due to an injury to the rectus femoris of the thigh whose extent will be re-evaluated with new instrumental investigations this week.

Best scorer for the bianconeri a captain Toto Forray with 16 points on the scoresheet: 13 for Drew Crawford, who confirmed the excellent signs of Saturday’s debut; Darion Atkins also in double figures (11 points and 7 rebounds).
