Russia and Wagner have made tactical progress over the past four days, the ministry said, in what it described as most likely an effort to encircle Bakhmut from the north and sever lines of communication. He adds that Russia, however, is unlikely to encircle the city in the short term as Ukrainian forces maintain stable defensive lines at depth and control supply routes.

07:53 am – The General Staff of Kiev: 700 Russian soldiers and a ship killed in 24 hours

Ukrainian forces have eliminated 710 servicemen and one Russian vessel in the past 24 hours.
